Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Keebye (“Keebye”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the keebye.com website and the Keebye desktop application for macOS (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Keebye is a voice-dictation app for macOS that transcribes your speech on your device. Using the app requires signing in with an account. The Service is offered in free and paid plans; what each plan includes is described on the pricing section of our homepage.

2. Accounts

You can sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your email or Google account secure. You must provide accurate account information.

3. Plans, payments, and renewals

Paid plans, when offered, are available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the prices shown on the pricing section. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are final and non-refundable.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in violation of applicable law;
• resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access accounts or systems that are not yours;
• use the Service to infringe the rights of others.

5. Your content

Everything you dictate is yours. Transcription happens on your device, and your transcripts are inserted into the apps you use them in — we do not receive them. See the Privacy Policy for details on the little we do process.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including the app, website, branding, and content we publish, is owned by Keebye or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you control, for as long as your plan allows.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Speech recognition is imperfect: we do not guarantee that transcriptions are accurate, and you are responsible for reviewing dictated text before relying on it. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keebye will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5–8) survive it.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update this page and its “last updated” date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
